Both work. Spray or drop any fragrance you already own onto the porous surface—this is the whole point: no proprietary refill, just the scent you like.

How do I switch scents without mixing smells?
Soak the volcanic stone in 95% alcohol, let it sit, then air-dry. The previous scent rinses clean.
Is it noisy? Does it need electricity?
Completely silent and zero electricity. The porous lava stone is the only mechanism—no motor, no water tank, nothing to plug in.
